I am a Lactation Educator and I support new mothers with the initiation of breastfeeding following birth. I remain with you through the Golden Hour. Together we will decide whether you wish for me to join you in your home or at the hospital once active labor begins. From the moment you sign your contract to the birth of your baby, I am available via text, email and phone to answer questions, offer insight and evidence based information for any questions that arise. During these visits we will focus on your individual birth preferences, coping and comfort techniques, what to expect as labor progresses, transitioning from home to the hospital and any questions that you may have. The first visit is virtual and the second visit is in your home. Your Birth Doula support includes 2 pre-birth visits. I implement your birth preferences to tailor my approach, thereby supporting your transformation into motherhood. One advantage of having me with you during your labor and delivery is that you are never alone. Many couples find themselves surprised by the lack of medical staff present during labor. With my education and many years of experience, I bring with me a sense of calm and peacefulness, as well as knowledge, to usher in the final months of your pregnancy, labor and the birth of your baby.
